The trouble with details

Sometimes, people notice when they evolve:
Barack Obama is such a hard-core wonk, his camp grinds through policy day in, day out. That may be a great quality to have in a president—but it's not necessarily a smart strategy for a presidential candidate just weeks before an election.
I doubt edits to his website are going to be a significant story. The only people who really notice are wonks themselves...people like me who greatly appreciated all that detail being made available, and hardly expect it to stay constant. There's just so much there, it has to be revised periodically to accommodate new conditions & changing ideas.

I haven't read everything on Obama's site, nor should I as I'm not qualified to understand it all. But it's nice to know that if I was so inclined, I could analyze it. And it's nice to know people smarter than me are doing so.

By contrast, McCain's website is a better resource for vague feel-good platitudes than detailed policy positions. Which do you prefer?
