Deep thought

If we "succeed" in Iraq and it perchance becomes as strong of a democracy as Israel, are we going to give Iraq the same amount of annual aid & unconditional diplomatic support in proportion to its needs as we do Israel? Will there be an American Iraqi lobby with proportionate clout to AIPAC? Or is there something special about Israel that's maybe dictating US foreign policy in a way it shouldn't be?
