Americans happier with taxes

A new Gallup Poll finds 48% of Americans saying the amount of federal income taxes they pay is "about right," with 46% saying "too high" -- one of the most positive assessments Gallup has measured since 1956.

So much for the tea party protests.

But the WSJ thinks everyone should pay income taxes, and I agree.

If you're in the left of that chart, the bottom 50% of income levels, you ought to be relatively happy with the portion of your income that's going to taxes.  If you're in the right half, not so much.
