Gay rights update

Radley:
As Arkansas voters did last year, Kentucky now wants to ban gay couples from adopting or fostering children. I’ve seen the studies showing that kids are better off in families with a mother and a father. Fair enough. But are the idiots pushing this bill really trying to argue that Kentucky’s 7,000 foster kids are better off as wards of the state than in a loving family with gay parents? Or is hating gay people more important than what’s best for these kids?
Stay classy, red states.

Meanwhile Ambers has a nice prediction:

Obama will be probably be the last Democratic presidential nominee to oppose same-sex marriage.

Sure, Obama the nominee opposed same-sex marriage and still does as president -- so far. Perhaps he can change his position during the 2012 campaign.

But what makes this most interesting is that he too was once unequivocally for same-sex marriages:

Ah the triumph of politics over principle.

Incidentally, it's also been rumored that Obama is a closet atheist who attends church solely because it's necessary in American politics.
