A few examples. Obviously the current flap of Gwen Ifill, Tom Brokaw, Jim Lehrer as moderators for presidential debates but never an O’Reilly, Hannity, Limbaugh or Brit Hume. Why not?

Hume might have enough credibiity. But O'Reilly, Hannity, Limbaugh? Partisan hacks all, just like MSNBC's Keith Olbermann and Hugh Hewitt of talk radio. Look what Hewitt said today:

"[Palin's] interview with me was elixir for the base."

An elixir? I guess that's what we're calling the Kool-Aid now.

To suggest that Ifill is in that category seems unlikely to me, but I don't know her well enough to be certain. We'll see tonight, won't we?
