I don't see anything terribly unreasonable with this clip.Nothing terribly unreasonable? It's bullshit and lies.
Actually, it's quite brilliant from an evangelical perspective.
I'll let ZOMGitsCriss explain:
because the unexamined life is not worth living

Where, exactly are the lies and bullshit?
ReplyDeleteI'm kind of embarrassed for you that you used this mindless dunce as an explanation for your unfounded opinion.
1.) This woman isn't even a citizen of the United States and displays a disturbing ignorance of American history and religious culture.
2.) Liberties precede governments. Liberties are NOT given by people. Our founding fathers took great pains to make this obvious in their writings. The evidence is overwhelming.
3.) Children are NOT allowed to pray or open Bibles in schools: Engel v. Vitale, 370 U.S. 421 (1962)
"Washington, June 17, 1963—The Supreme Court held today that Bible reading and recitation of the Lord's Prayer as exercises in public schools are unconstitutional."
4.) Cosmology is the study of 'all that is'. Hence, it encompasses biology, which by the way, does not stop on planet earth. Biology and Cosmology are inextricably linked.
5.) She, just like every other atheist on the planet CANNOT explain where matter and energy came from. Even though physical laws tell us energy cannot be created and matter cannot act upon itself, atheists continue to deny the painfully obvious.
The only snake I see here is this hideous woman caused by her stubborn denial of facts.
Again I ask, where is the bullshit and the lies?

Reading and recitation as exercises being un constitutional does not mean children aren't allowed to pray or read the Bible in public schools. They can pray, and they can read, but on their own time or as part of a class that's studying something to which the Bible is relevant (such as a history of religion). But religious prayer and recitation as an exercise (i.e. school administration telling you to do it) is obviously unconstitutional and has no place in public schools.

So? Theists can't either. A lack of knowledge about such questions is normal, though our knowledge of cosmology is of course increasing. What's egregious are people who claim to have knowledge they don't actually possess.

What are you talking about?
