ReplyDeleteI know, I know. The health insurance companies are totally, 100%, pinky swear on-board with Obama's health care plans. It's true!!
Huh? Of course they aren't _100%_ on board with his health care plans. For instance, they oppose little things like the government nationalizing another portion of their market.

The advocacy specialist, according to the letter, is there to help UHG employees write personalized messages to elected officials, and to arm them with talking points to use at local events in order to better oppose the public health insurance option.
I don't see how you can blame them for defending their market share from further government takeover. I expect nothing less.
(I also don't get what any of this has to do with opportunism, but oh well.)
