Some in the Republican Party are happy about this. I am not.Up yours, man. You were supposed to be pro-moderate. If Specter is left-wing, I am too. Enjoy your rump of a party.
Let's be honest-Senator Specter didn't leave the GOP based on principles of any kind. He left to further his personal political interests because he knew that he was going to lose a Republican primary due to his left-wing voting record.
Republicans look forward to beating Sen. Specter in 2010, assuming the Democrats don't do it first."

you just have to love that the Republican Party thought "Shit, America just elected a black guy; we need to become relevant too; what should we do!? I know! -- WE should elect a black guy! That would really throw those hippie fucks for a loop... Hmm, do we have any of those...? AHA, here's one! Nevermind that he failed at nearly every political job he ever held... He's a black guy!"
ReplyDeleteWell, I enthusiastically supported Steele over the alternatives like Azunis or Duncan for chairman. Not because he's a black guy, but because he seemed mor eloquent and specifically said things like "we have to elect moderates in the party".
ReplyDeleteThen he started coming out with statements like this. *sigh*
well, let's not second-guess his super Ultra-Mega top secret master plan to bring postmodern GOP flava to urban-suburban hip-hop settings.
